Yesterday I attended a ‘Night of Grief and Mystery’ with Stephen Jenkinson in Sheffield, what a gift this man is. His stories and experiences of death and the dying are poetry to my ears, he challenges us to see death completely from left-field, to approach our experience of it so differently. The grief is in the stories he tells – and those stories reflect how fearful and removed from reality we are. Here is a man who asks us to replace terror with wonder! To enter the time of dying with a sense of mystery. I am truly grateful he has come into my life. And I would urge everyone to read ‘Die Wise’, go to his website orphanwisdom.com. There is a wealth of talks and videos to sample.
