Men and grief. It’s time for Men to make a stand about feelings. Women cannot give men permission to cry (although men often rely on them for that) -it’s time Good Men stood up and let the world know that grief is a human emotion, that which makes us strong are the broken places. How are we to heal the world when men do not allow tears? I am always moved by men who cry because I know it takes a great deal of courage to allow the armour to drop. Somewhere, right now, there is a father grieving his child. This deep sorrow is compounded by leaving him to do it alone, in isolation. Step up Men. It’s way past time.
