‘Hello you darkness’ is a line from a poem by Rilke – in which he acknowledges the necessity of the dark, that place where there is the unknown and the possible. It is Autumn again and I am aware of being grateful for the dying of the light, of being tired of working in the garden, of relief that I can begin to rest and go inward. This is the purpose of the seasons, to help us reconnect with our own interior cycles.
