I have found the perfect place to go on retreat, journal, write and have space to contemplate. It may not be everyone’s idea of perfection – I guess that would be somewhere in a cabin in the wilderness for me – but it is what has come to me and I am extremely grateful. My step-daughter lives near Tynemouth, runs her own Theatre Company and is often away and needs a cat-sitter. Giblet (cat so named) is easy to look after and I get a space to be on my own. I get into a routine of meditation, writing, journaling, walking, cycling to the sea and walking on the beach, frequently interspersed with feeding the cat of course.
So for the last 10 days of August I was absent from this blog, but present in a fulfilling cycle of creativity. I worked in 3 mini-journals and here is a selection of the pages:
Under the sea
No Rules: a reminder to myself that I can play and make mistakes
I know how to have fun!
