Depression sometimes arrives in the form of ennui, a low-level lack of motivation. Nevertheless I can still bring myself to the studio, play with texture, shape and colour and allow images to arise. This is the nature of my ‘ennui’ and it just is as they say in Zen. This too shall pass.
